Geof has been an organisation and management development consultant for over 30 years, initially as an internal consultant with Esso Petroleum, then as the principal of his own international consulting practice. He has direct line and HR management experience, and has worked in almost every private, public and not-for-profit sector in countries across Europe, Middle East, AsiaPAC, Africa, Latin America and the USA. His projects have ranged from major organisation change programmes spanning multi-site, multi-level activities lasting several years, to one off workshops on management skills and individual coaching. As a writer on management topics, he has published a number of books and articles; edited the professional journals Organisations & People and Management Scotland, and publishes the renowned Cuttings newsletter.

Geof’s global corporate clients include Abu Dhabi Polymers, Airborne Oil & Gas, Barclays Bank, BT, Becton Dickinson, Borealis, Cargill, Cisco, Continental Tyres, EUMETSAT, Frost & Sullivan, Gulf Oil International, The IET, Liberty Global, Novaled, NXP Semiconductors, petroEDGE, Philips, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments. He works as a mentor and coach to a number of charity and NFP chief executives and is a volunteer consultant with the Cranfield Trust.

Geof has a B.S.Sc from the Queen’s University of Belfast, is qualified in FIRO-B and FIRO Elements, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He has been a partner in Learning Consortium (including a period as managing partner), a founding partner of Castle Consultants International. and the HR Director of The West Somerset Railway plc.

He lives in Bristol, England and the Isle of Arran, Scotland.
